Hi, I'm Garvit

I'm a software engineer who has spent most of the last ten years at early-stage startups, helping them go from zero to one. I was one of the first engineers at Harness, Giga, Coram AI, Dgraph and GM Labs, founded Superstream, and built the systems their products run on: workflow engines, voice agents and AI assistants.

Right now I work independently, consulting with startups and doing my own research. I maintain durable-execution, a durable execution engine for TypeScript. Most of my research measures things: I've benchmarked how well multimodal embedding models retrieve PDFs, built an RL environment that grades coding agents on rebuilding websites and trained a small GPT from scratch. I've also recently started hacking on robotics, starting with the SO-101 leader-follower arm kit. See all of it on projects.

Outside work I root for FC Barcelona, watch a lot of movies and sit in Bengaluru traffic.
